DIRECT
APPEAL FOR COMPLAINTS ABOUT QUALITY OF ASSISTANCE
If you are
dissatisfied with the quality of assistance we have provided you, you
are entitled to give your complaint directly to the Grievance Committee
of our Board of Directors. That Committee may either consider your
complaint and give its decision, or refuse to consider your complaint
until you have complied with Levels One and Two of the grievance
process. The attorney/client privilege may be waived as a result of
this process since in investigating the quality of representation may go
to the merits of the issues.
You may be
accompanied or represented by another person of your choice at any level
of the grievance process. If accompanied by another person you will be
waiving attorney-client confidences for all information shared within
the scope of the grievance procedure. If you should need help in the
grievance procedure, the Executive Director or Director of Litigation
and Advocacy may be able to assist you.
