of Nebraska serves low income persons. To qualify, your total gross
annual income before taxes must not be greater than $13,000 for a one
person family, $17,500 for a two person family, $22,000 for a three
person family, $26,500 for a four person family, $31,000 for a five
person family, $35,500 for a six person family, $40,000 for a seven

will need to provide proof of your income. If you are calling about an SSI Medicaid, TANF or food stamp program, different income guidelines
may apply.
When calling the AccessLine®,
please try to have any paperwork related to your case in front of you.
If you are not a citizen, you will need to provide proof of your
immigration status if your case is accepted. Legal Aid of Nebraska does
not provide representation in criminal matters. If you have been
charged with a crime and need a lawyer, please call your local county
public defender’s office. We do not provide representation if you are
incarcerated and need a lawyer, even for non-criminal matters. We do not
provide representation in worker’s compensation cases, personal injury
claims, or any cases in which a fee can be generated by a private
attorney. For those types of cases, you should call a private attorney
in your local area.
