Services We Provide
Referrals
- By calling the AccessLine®, to get help you can get information
on other organizations across the State that may be helpful.
Legal Advice - If the legal issue is the type not
currently being handled by Legal Aid attorneys, advice and problem
solving will be given in an effort to help the caller resolve the
problem on their own.
Brief Services - If the legal issue can be
resolved without going to court, brief service may be provided.
Examples of brief services are writing letters of demand to opposing
parties, calling opposing parties on clients' behalf, and preparing
legal documents.
Extended Representation - Frequently requires
negotiations and/or representation in court.
Community Education - Legal Aid educates the community
about their legal rights and responsibilities on a variety of topics.
Special Projects Practice Groups- Legal Aid is committed to
working with low-income people throughout Nebraska to identify and
address their legal needs that may be barriers to self-sufficiency.
Through this perspective, Legal Aid works to identify emerging client
needs and responds by creating special projects. By clicking the Special
